Balticovo is launching boiled egg production line (24.08.2012)
Investments in new production plant are 300 th. EUR. There is fully automatized production line: egg boiling, peeling and packing equipment. Facilities are mainly built for export markets. At the beginning we are planning to sell around 60-80 t of product per month. Production capacity is around 25 000 eggs per hour which means production of 1 t of boiled eggs per hour. By working in one shift production volume can reach 240 t of product per month.
A new logo will appear on Balticovo products and in business communication for the next two years. The logo is devoted to the 40th anniversary of the company. It was founded in distant 1972 as a state company – poultry factory Iecava becoming Balticovo Ltd in 1993.Read more
It’s usual to think of eggs as a good source of protein – and they are. A small hen’s egg will provide 6g of good quality protein. This is found almost entirely in the egg white, whilst theyolk is a rich source of cholesterol, fat and vitamin E.
Ask any school child and they will tell you that protein is needed for growth. Although your shoe size may not have changed for years, that doesn’t mean you’ve stopped growing. New skin, hair and nail cells are always being made – and this takes protein. Body cells are constantly being broken down and re-built.
Exercise stimulates this process by increasing protein turnover and in fact the net result, from your 50-100 miles in the saddle, is an overall loss of protein.
In July 2011 the brand new liquid egg plant was audited accordingly to BRC and IFS standards. Audit was succesfully passed and apropriate IFS Food and BRC Food certificatation was received. This is a sign that proves to all potential customers in Europe that Balticovo is working accordingly to highest food safety standards and that all products are qualitative and safe. In March 2010 in company Balticovo were running audit process on certification for internation food safety standart certificates IFS Food(Internation Featured standard) and BRC Food (British Retail Consortium) organized by Bureau Veritas.Read more
November 17 – 19, 2009 Balticovo takes part in exhibition Food Ingredients Europe (Frankfurt, Germany). Visit us in the exhibition at stand 91E43.
On October 9th, this year AS “Balticovo” opened its new egg processing and grading centre.
It consists of nine modern laying hen houses and grading centre with capacity of 180 thousands egg per hour.
The new complex is the largest and modern in North Europe and one of the largest in Europe.
The egg production capacity is 500 million eggs per year.
